Our History
No matter where you come from or what you look like, we are united under one cause—Activism. We the People are committed to making the world a better place, together.
The Activism Network was founded on Discord on April 4th, 2024, where people came together to discuss systemic issues and explore ways to create positive change. This collaborative environment laid the foundation for the community.
The Declaration of Virtues (DOV), outlining our core values and ethical principles, was developed over two weeks of community deliberation. The final version was approved on June 8th, 2024, with a unanimous 55-0 vote.
As the group grew, discussions about formalizing the organization into a nonprofit began, aiming to strengthen its advocacy and expand its impact beyond the Discord server; and on August 10th, 2024, with a 80-1 vote the community voted to become a nonprofit.
On March 13th, 2025, The Activism Network achieved 501(c)(4) nonprofit status, enabling the group to accept donations, collaborate with other organizations, and expand our mission to drive long-term societal change.
